Booking conditions

Article 1 — Purpose

These conditions govern room bookings made with Avaton Hotel, 6 rue Émile Négrin, 06400 Cannes, France, operated by DOLCE VITA, SAS with a share capital of EUR 1,001,000, 937 577 849 R.C.S. Paris, whether the booking is made on https://avatonhotel.fr, by telephone or by email.

Any booking implies unreserved acceptance of these conditions.

Article 2 — Booking

A booking becomes firm once confirmed by the hotel and once the sums set out in article 4 have been paid. A confirmation is sent by email to the address given by the guest, who is responsible for its accuracy.

Guests warrant the accuracy of the information provided. Any booking containing manifestly incorrect information may be cancelled by the hotel.

Article 3 — Rates

Rates are shown in euros, inclusive of tax, excluding the local tourist tax.

The tourist tax is payable by the guest and collected by the hotel on behalf of the city of Cannes. For a 3-star hotel it amounts to EUR 2.14 per person per night, comprising EUR 1.60 for the city and EUR 0.54 regional surcharge, in line with the 2026 rates set by the municipal council on 27 June 2025. Guests under 18 are exempt.

The rate covers accommodation and end-of-stay cleaning. It does not include breakfast, the tourist tax or optional services.

Article 4 — Payment

A deposit of 25% of the total stay is payable at the time of booking. The balance is settled no later than the day of arrival.

Accepted means of payment: bank card.

Article 5 — Cancellation and amendment

Bookings are firm and final. They cannot be cancelled or amended. In the event of cancellation, whatever the date or reason, the deposit is retained by the hotel and the balance of the stay remains due.

Guests are advised to take out cancellation insurance with the provider of their choice.

Article 6 — No-show

If the guest does not arrive on the expected date without having cancelled, the booking is cancelled the following day at 12:00 noon and sums already paid are retained by the hotel.

Article 7 — Arrival and departure

Rooms are available from 3:00 pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 11:00 am on the day of departure.

The hotel has no staffed reception. Arrival is self-service: the rooms are fitted with connected locks and access is by code, with no key handed over.

The access code is sent by email 24 to 48 hours before arrival, to the address given at the time of booking. Guests are responsible for the accuracy of that address and should keep the message throughout their stay.

Should there be any difficulty with the code, a telephone number is included in the same message. A new code is then generated immediately.

No key needs to be returned on departure: simply close the door behind you.
