2. Data we collect
When you book: first and last name, postal address, email address, telephone number, dates of stay, number and identity of accompanying guests, payment data, and any specific requests you send us.
Where a booking is made through a third-party platform such as Booking.com or Airbnb, that data is passed to us by the platform concerned.
During your stay: information relating to your stay and the services you use, together with the information we are required by law to collect from travellers.
For room access: the property has no staffed reception and the rooms are fitted with connected locks. A personal access code is sent to you by email 24 to 48 hours before arrival. The generation and management of these codes rely on an independent access control system.
Through the contact form: name, email address, telephone number, and the content of your message.
When you browse the site: technical connection and browsing data, as described in section 8.
We do not collect sensitive data within the meaning of the GDPR. If you spontaneously share such information, such as a food allergy or a mobility requirement, we use it solely to respond to your request and keep it only as long as strictly necessary.

4. Retention periods
Booking and stay data: kept for the duration of the commercial relationship, then archived for as long as necessary to handle any dispute.
Accounting records and supporting documents: kept for ten years from the close of the financial year, in line with accounting obligations.
Room access codes: deactivated at the end of the stay. Access logs are kept only as long as strictly necessary for the security of the property.
Messages received through the contact form: kept for three years from the last contact, unless the enquiry leads to a booking.
Registers required under the regulations applicable to accommodation providers: kept for the period set out in the applicable legislation.
5. Who receives your data
Your data is accessible to authorised members of our staff, within the scope of their duties.
It may be passed to the following providers, who act on our instructions and are contractually bound by confidentiality: our rental management and guest reception provider, our room access control system, our payment provider, and the host of this website.
Where you book through an online booking platform, that platform processes your data under its own privacy policy, over which we have no control.
Your data may also be disclosed to administrative or judicial authorities where the law requires it.
We do not sell or rent your data to third parties.
6. Transfers outside the European Union
This website is hosted by GoDaddy.com, LLC, a company incorporated in the United States with its registered office at 100 S. Mill Ave, Suite 1600, Tempe, Arizona 85281, USA.
Data processed in connection with the hosting of the site may be transferred outside the European Union. Such transfers are covered by the safeguards provided for under European regulations, in particular the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

7. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict the processing of, and object to the processing of your data, as well as the right to data portability. Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing already carried out.
To exercise these rights, write to contact@avatonhotel.com. We may ask you to prove your identity. We reply within one month.
